Congratulations to Megan for completing her Level 2 Appenticeship with Westoak Stud.
Megan has completed her travel qualifications and has travelled with mares to stud and to shows, showing in hand and acting as a show groom.
Megan is now starting her level 3 Apprenticeship with us, taking the breeding route.
Thank you to Equestrian Training for guiding Megan through the course.
Alice completes her apprenticeship with two Distinctions.
Congratulations to Alice from all at Westoak Stud. Alice chose to train with us, her specialism being sports horse breeding. She has prepared horses for competitions, including taking mares and foals to the Futurity, she is pictured here with the Gold premium Futurity filly Zodiac of Westoak, at Richmond Equestrian Centre. Alice has also
competed with a mare from the stud, in-hand and under saddle. She has travelled all over the country with mares and foals.

Scored straight 8 for her studbook inspection, so just the ridden test to do now for a Premium mare candidate.
Completed her first two dressage tests Prelim June and Novice July winning both classes.
Competed in the regionals, at Port Royal, 2021 and again in 2022.

Florin of Westoak graded Stallion with the Warmblood Breeders Studbook UK.
Florin is a two year old colt bred by Westoak Hanoverian stud and now owned by Molly.
The judges loved his kind temperament and his ability to jump. By Flammengold out of Deva our Dimaggio mare. Second generation British breeding.
BHHS Regional Show2018
Funkey Monkey of Westoak awarded a Hanoverian Elite with a score of 8.
By Falstaff out of a De Niro mare, Funkey is a bay colt.
Donner Rosa Awarded 7.8 for her Studbook inspection.

All foals qualified for the Annual show.
Three mares were graded, one mare with a score of 8.25.
Sorayah of Westoak and Florence of Westoak both scored Elite status.
Wellegance also scored Premium marks in the mare studbook inspections.

Futurity news
Elite foal at Solihull Futurity, Clarissa of Westoak, with a score of 9.08 in the eventing foal section.
BHHS Hanoverian Day and Regional show 2016
Clarissa of Westoak won the foal show, which was judged by Lynne Crowden.
The day was well attended by spectators.
Carsten of Westoak
First place at Stafford horse trials July 2017 with 22.3 clear jumping and clear cross country, finishing on his dressage score with Piggy French.
Best British bred 5 year old eventer at the British breeding awards 2016, held at the City Grange Hotel in London.
Ridden by Piggy French and owned by Sir William Aldous, Lady Gillian Aldous and Mrs Elizabeth Ann Tolhurst.
Carsten of Westoak is a 17hh bay, Hanoverian gelding, bred by Westoak Hanoverian stud.
He was assessed as ‘Elite’ at the Futurity as a foal.
His present owners have worked with Team French to produce this branded British Hanoverian as a top eventer.
Carsten has started the 2016 season with Piggy French's sister and has already been in the top three again.
Both parents are British based.
His dam Louise (Londonderry) is an important British based mare. She has bred a graded stallion, a Select studbook mare, an Elite foal and many show champions.
Classic Juan the graded Hanoverian stallion is Carsten’s sire, he is based at Witcham House stud in Cambridge. He competed as an eventer, has sired Elite mares, the highest ever placed Futurity filly Classic Prada (9.75). Westoak Stud have purchased Classic Prada as a broodmare.
The owner of Westoak Hanoverian Stud, based in Derbyshire, Sue Simmons, said ‘Cleopatra of Westoak was second in the 3 year old eventing section of the 2013 Awards ceremony, she too was by Classic Juan, but this year Carsten of Westoak has taken the stud to the top. I am delighted’

Ridden by Piggy French, Carsten stayed on his dressage score after all phases. (With a strong field of over 50, five year olds.) Congratulations to Gillian his owner. Carsten will be having a rest until next season.
Gemma and Westoak Midsommer won two elementary tests and have qualified for the regionals. Great news.
Lisa and Westoak Mabel have qualified for the Sheepgate young horse classes after scoring 70% at Novice affiliated BD. Well done.
Westoak Monty completed his first cross country.
Mabel and Monty are both by Medoc.
Carmen of Westoak competed at the BHHS Annual show 2015
She was second in the three year old mare class and achieved a 1A. She has already passed her studbook inspection so the next stage is her Mare Performance Test.
Carsten of Westoak won his BE 100 at Brooksby with Piggy French.
Open days
Westoak Hanoverian Stud open day had sunny weather. Thank you to all our friends who called in.
Our Regional foal show saw our foals gain qualification for the Annual BHHS and mares graded too.
Our next open day will be August 2019.
Fantastic news about our five year old Carsten of Westoak, he has qualified for the five year old young event horse championships at Osberton. Congratulations to his owner Gillian and his rider Piggy French. He has had a few outings as a 5 year old. Watch him here on youtube.

Carsten of Westoak is an Elite Futurity foal for eventing.
Westoak Willis has qualified for the regionals BD. He also went to the under 25's championships at Sheepgate.
Eureka of Westoak a four year old has won his dressage class with 71% on his first outing. He is now qualified for the regionals BD.
Well done to Kim who has owned him from a foal. He is by Elroon out of Wijenna.
Mabel of Westoak and Lisa have also qualified for the Area Festival.
Westoak Hanoverian Stud
We have been breeding Hanoverian competition horses since 1986. Our aim is to produce top quality youngstock for dressage and eventing. Our broodmares are chosen for their temperaments, their performance records and their bloodlines.
Our foals have been awarded Higher First and Elite Premiums at the BEF Futurity. Most of our broodmares have also been awarded Broodmare Diplomas from the British Equestrian Federation Futurity. Our youngstock have been awarded Elite status with the BHHS and Select status with the Warmbloods.
Our foals are registered with the British Hanoverian Horse Society, have full pink breeding papers, passports and are branded
Hanoverian.
All our mares are Hanoverian. Either State Premium studbook, Elite or Main stud book mares. All have full 4 generation pedigrees, Pink
Papers and are branded Hanoverian. Our mares usually have a competition career, are performance tested and all are graded.
